Each workshop or project includes videos and quizzes and perhaps code challenges. Some have exercise files you can work with. While some are more involved than others, they are all broken down into manageable chunks so if you only have a few minutes to spare you can still make progress. Many are lighthearted and amusing and a pleasure to look at. They practice what they preach and the site is easy to navigate and responsive. There’s also an iPad app, if you’d prefer to view the courses that way.
Learning is organized into tracks to help you progress in your skills. Each video, quiz, or code challenge is worth points that are tracked site-wide for a measure of your learning. It’s essentially a Treehouse transcript. There are also badges that can be earned and, if you like, displayed on your website as an indication of your efforts to develop your skills.
